Juicy Shawarma-Style Beef Stack
Ingredients
For the Beef Marinade
1½ lbs beef steak or beef roast, sliced thick
3 tbsp olive oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp paprika
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp coriander
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
½ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp chili flakes
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp vinegar
For Serving
Pita bread or flatbread
Sliced red onions
Tomatoes
Cucumbers
Fresh parsley
Garlic sauce or yogurt sauce
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, spices, lemon juice, and vinegar.
Add the beef and coat well with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
Stack the beef pieces tightly together and secure with skewers or kitchen twine.
Roast in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 45–60 minutes until browned and tender.
For extra char, broil the meat for 3–5 minutes at the end.
Slice thin layers from the outside just like shawarma.
Serve hot with pita bread, fresh vegetables, and creamy garlic sauce.
